Farm City is coordinated by volunteers in agriculture. This is a traveling program which is held at host farms throughout the state. These are typically one-two day events which bring children out on a farm to learn about agriculture. The CT Agricultural Education Foundation provides the financial support necessary to coordinate these events. 2010  Winter Farm City a Success! CTAEF helped underwrite the first Connecticut Winter Farm City, which was held at Brookside Farm II in Litchfield, CT in March, 2010. http://www.litchfield.bz/Articles/NewsArticles/2010/03March/0325farm.html .

There were two farm city events held in October, 2009 at Greenbacker Farms and New Pond Farm. Several hundred students attended these volunteer events. Special thanks to New Pond Farm and the Greenbacker family for hosting Farm City in 2009.
