Farm City is coordinated by volunteers in agriculture. This is a traveling program which is held at host farms throughout the state. These are typically one day events which bring children out on a farm to learn about agriculture. The CT Agricultural Education Foundation provides the financial support necessary to coordinate these events.

We plan to underwrite two more Farm City Events in 2010, including one in June at Sankow's Beaver Brook Farm.

There were two farm city events held in October, 2009 at Greenbacker Farms and New Pond Farm. Several hundred students attended these volunteer events. Special thanks to New Pond Farm and the Greenbacker family for hosting Farm City in 2009.
